As an emerging filmmaker, Amy has produced engaging short videos to support successful marketing and fundraising campaigns. She has directed two short documentaries – The Violin Maker and A 6,000 Mile Search for Beauty.

She recently completed part-time students in video production in the Digital Arts and New Media program at Selkirk College and graduated at the top of her class.

A 6,000 Mile Search for Beauty

Inspired by the haunting beauty of a petrified forest, author Eileen Delehanty Pearkes embarked on a journey to visit rainforests across the North American West. This search for beauty became an exploration and meditation on what these rainforests, and the indigenous cultures who have called them home for millennia, can teach us about responding to climate change.
