But I ranked it quite low because it is a fallacious inference. Strickly, from the presmise "I think", the only thing that follows that there "there is a thinking thing". In fact, in the original latin, its 'cogito, ergo sum', makes it easier to see this. Additional work has to be be done to show that I (or you, or anyone else) is identical to the cogito, that is, the thinking. But yes, there's a lovely Theatre department here. I could brush up on my Ibsen, and wear black turtle-necks, and be ever so existential in my tastes. It would be a hoot; but alas, I don't think my jazz-fingers are all that good.
