I just watched the first episode of The IT Crowd last night - very funny stuff! I hadn't heard of it before, but once you mentioned the bit about emailing the Fire Department I knew that it was worth a watch, so thanks for bringing it my attention. Here's a link to a clip from the show for those who haven't seen it - this one isn't all that techie but a good indication of the type of humour that fuels the show.

Nice to see you again Trevor - the Flickr trail is a long and windy one. In fact, all three of you are Flickrites - I guess it's a small world for those who spend too much time online.

I blogged about this myself just recently - of course I only blogged it, I didn't actually pick up the phone and discuss it with anyone. I'm finding I best express myself through a keyboard and can only just remember how to sign my name on a credit card slip. I used to play Tetris too much and actually hallucinate large moving blocks dropping and rotating...

In a new comedy on Channel 4 here in the UK, The IT Crowd, a tech support guy e-mails the fire department to tell them that a fire is blazing in his office, finishing his message with 'look forward to hearing from you'.

The commercial is hilarious, in part because I'd been talking about the exact same phenomenon last night. I seem to recall asking people to shoot me if I develop the "claw" from holding a mouse for too long. Funny the way the world lines up sometimes.
